GOLD DRUZY ~ #31 PAINTING A DAY Copyright 2013 * SOLD *
GOLD DRUZY is a continuation of my druzy series... This painting reminds me of the moon craters yet it is rich with gold contrasted against the black. The druzy is magnificent with the crystal-like crater reflections filled with jewel tones of gold, purple, green, blue and many other colors. RED DRUZY is part of a new series depicting the crater formations in the druzy jewel in an abstract format. This painting reminds me of a volcanic crater with the lava flow of deep red against the gold. It is painted with mixed media paints on a 6"x6" Gessobord panel.
